Help Me Fly Higher To Touch More Lives!

I have been on a journey of discovery and learning my whole life. In the last four years I have finally scratched the surface of what I believe is my highest self through several new (for me) avenues. Two of these avenues are Yoga (specifically AcroYoga) and sustainable living (through permaculture). I have devoted many hours and dollars training my mind and body in these practices.

With this campaign I want to focus on AcroYoga. AcroYoga has been life changing for me. Connecting with others is not always easy. There are many ways of doing so in pop-culture, but many of the ways I tried seemed superficial and led to false connections. AcroYoga opened the door to deep meaningful connections. Once I discovered the practice and eventually found my love for it, my ability to connect with others in and out of the practice greatly improved. I was pretty fortunate to have a partner at that time who trained with me. We were in a city, Taipei Taiwan, that didn't have an AcroYoga community at all. Together we grew an amazing community of AcroYogis that continues to grow to this day. We began inviting international teachers to come and share the practice at a studio that we created. From there, students were born and asked us to be their teachers. I have been teaching weekly classes now for more than 2 years.

My drive to continue teaching led me to co-found a not-for-profit in Taipei Taiwan Called Peacestreet Community Center where I serve as Executive Director. We host many events that are centered around love, co-creation, and acceptance and trying to reach the communities highest spiritual potential. During these years of self discovery and training I have reached several milestones. I have received my 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training certification, 60 hour Thai Massage certification, Solar Immersion (AcroYoga), and Lunar Immersion (AcroYoga). All of these are prerequisites to becoming an official teacher of the AcroYoga International teachers. Other notable things I have completed on my journey are a Lady Niguma 20 hour certification (allowing me to teach this series) and co-founded another not-for-profit called Seeds of Joy, which aim is to spread yoga. All of this has been crucial to get me where I am today.

So, that is my story, and this is where my funding project "Help Me Fly Higher To Touch More Lives" comes in. The training I have received to this point have been incredibly valuable as well as costly. The one I am about to take on will be one of the most costly, and I need your help to get me there. The official AcroYoga Teacher Training is offering a training session near me in January of 2017. Not only near me but with the founder of AcroYoga himself, Jason Nemer! I have trained with him before at the Solar Immersion, and it proved to be of great value in my personal teaching. I am so blessed to have this opportunity to train with him again for my most important training to date.

I have already applied and been accepted into this training. Now, I am asking you to help get me there! This training in all will cost near $3,000 USD (depending on my ability to get the early bird rate the cost of the training alone is between $2,000usd - $2,500usd). The $3,000usd will include the training for 21 straight days, 10 hours a day as well as my flight and accommodation. Obviously, this is quite expensive, and having already put in double this amount to this journey so far I am reaching out for assistance. Luckily, due to my being in Asia and the training being so close to me this is a cheaper Teacher Training than what I have seen offered to this point. Every dollar donated over $3,000 here will be donated to Peacestreet Community Center. I am happy to create the opportunity for possible support for this wonderful association!

I truly believe in this practice. I believe it is for everyone who wants it. I want to be a facilitator of this practice. I enjoy sharing this practice with all including kids, adults, and the elderly. There are few things that bring me as much joy as watching someone "fly" for the first time, releasing their fears, trusting and then watching their face glow like a star in the sky. It truly empowers individuals and creates community. My path in life is to help others reach their full potential while trying to reach my own. Together, we can make a difference, and my story here is how I am working to do so.
