I am a Hungarian student currently finishing her studies in Amsterdam, NL; I study at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, enrolled at the faculty of law.
Unfortunately my flat mates and I are facing the problem of losing our accommodation in the coming weeks (to be specific, I have no home from the 1st of August) - that being the case, I'm in desperate need of finding a new place. Amsterdam is a very expensive city in terms of housing, and as a student, from a fixed budget I simply cannot fix anything for my coming (last year) of studies. I have tried to find a job to complement the fixed budget I have, but as I do not speak Dutch, I had no success at finding anything suitable for myself. At the moment, I am facing the issue of either staying in Amsterdam and raising the portion of my budget for housing which means I have very little - almost none - left for other expenses like monthly transportation and living costs; or moving outside of Amsterdam, which requires significantly increased travel costs (just my monthly Amsterdam transportation ticket is around 100 euros, an additional train ticket each month would roughly double that expense).
With the incredibly high demand for housing and the deficit of cheap but still decent options is a very pressing issue, I am humbly asking for the help of anyone.
