Help me finish my Missionary Pilot Training

Hello, my name is Davin Bennett and I am originally from Jamaica. I came here to the Philippines in 2011 to serve as a Medical Missionary and ever since I have grown to love the Philippines. I am married to a beautiful Filipina girl, Irene Bennett, since 2013. We got married in Bacolod 6yrs ago. We dont have children. Both of us are SDA Christian, and since 2011 I have served the Filipino people as a Medical Missionary, Voluntary Church Pastor, Teacher, vegan cooking class instructor and so much more.

In 2015 I ventured out by faith to become a Missionary Pilot to help the the isolated Filipino to get better and faster medical care. Upon being accepted with Philippines Adventist Medical Aviation Services, I went to the US and got my Private Pilots license which I finished in 2018. I am now enrolled in Flight and Simulator Training Academy in Paranaque to get my Instrument Rated License which will help me to be a safer pilot. I dont get paid for my missionary work here in the Philippines and I am not sponsored by anyone out side or here in the Philippines. My wife is a music teacher who now teaches online piano lessons, which pays for our rent, vehicle and our basic needs. However its not enough to pay for flight training.

A little about Philippines Adventist Medical Missionary Services (PAMAS)

Started in 2007. Now offer services in Banuar, Palawan and soon to be Bukidnon Mindanoa. They have Cessna 172(4 seater) Cessna 182 (4seater), Cessna 206 (6 seater), Piper Twin Commanche (6 seater) and an R44 helicopter (4 seater) so far. I will be assigned to fly the Cessna 172 to gain experience then later on the Cessna 206.

Experiences.

I have helped to transport missionaries, supplies and also patients with the help of other experience pilots onboard as we flew, and I was so amazed at the difference that an airplane makes. Faster travel time which helps to save countless lives. Since we began in 2007 we have never had any accidents, we have never had patients who died during the flights and we have had many close calls with pregnant women but praise the Lord none has given birth on the airplane as yet. I love the Philippines and even though I miss my home country alot, especially my mom whom I have not seen for 3yrs now, the Philippines has become my new home.

Your donation will help me to finish the instrument flight training course so I can continue to help to evacuate the sick and hurting people of the Philippines. I will not be paid as a pilot but its ok, the best pay check is knowing that I helped to save a life by flying safely from one Island to the next.

What you are supporting

The cost for the entire instrument training course is about 250,000 pesos. I was able to get enough donations to cover for half of it already. The amount I am raising here is to cover for the 10hrs actual flight time in an airplane (11,000Pesos per hour)
