My name is Gabriela-Daniela Pencea and I have 49 years. I live in Bucharest and I worked as an educator and a babysitter until last year, when I passed out at the metro, on my way to work. At the medical scanner, they found a meningioma on the right side of the brain, and they recommended me an MRI.
When the results of the MRI came out, I got the same results. They told me that I cannot make surgery due to the risks and they advised me to wait until this year, when I'll have to repeat the MRI.
In the meanwhile, my health hasn't been so good: dizziness, fatigue, headaches, nose pain, eye pain, ear pain (all coming from the right side of the body).
This year, in January, the family doctor has sent me to the dermatologist to evaluate some of my moles that looked like they were going through some changes, changing in size and colour. They made an extirpation, cauterized it, and sent it to the biopsy (the mole behind my left ear). The result of the biopsy was: malignant basal cell carcinoma. I was advised to do radiotherapy on that area, but after I'll get the results on the MRI.
My health has worsened and the lack of money for the treatment is a big issue. From the woman full of life and energy, from the girl that used to do sports for years, like volley, athletics, fitness and bodybuilding, now I'm just a weakened woman that can't even open a cap on a 5l watter bottle.
My boy, who is a student, but also has health-related issues (mitral valve prolapse and Marfan syndrome), will help me on translating my words so that my message, that is like a cry for help, can be reached to your hearts. I thank all of you, who will lend a hand, and God bless you, may he return the favour.
