Hi! My name is James and I'm 25 years old. I'm currently surviving life with 3 amazingly beautiful ladies, my 64 year old mom, 61 year old aunt, and 35 year old sister who's taking lifelong maintenance medicines being schizophrenic.

Because of the worldwide pandemic, my job employment was placed on hold and I am one of those people under No Work No Pay, I was working at a local motel and we don't have any idea when will we be able to go back working even though Manila will be placed to General Community Quarantine starting June 1. It's been tough ever since it started, but we were surviving. We received some relief packs from the city government and my mom got a cash aide assistance from the Social Amelioration program of DSWD, it was 8,000 php. A big portion of this had to be allocated to my sister's medication. Losing her medicines means losing her own self too- people living with mentally challenged people would understand.

I just hoped that these were the only expenses that we had to face, but just recently, we received our utility bills. For our house rental fee, we were lucky enough because our landlord was very considerate and he let us used our cash deposits for the meanwhile. I have tried very hard to get at least a temporary job but luck wasn't really on my side.

But these are not the reasons why I came here.

Throughout my life, I've had this very strong connection with cats- especially stray cats. I was like 5 or 6 when I grabbed and sheltered a beautiful kitten that I found at a nearby vacant lot, he was alone and terrified, he didn't really stayed long as he wandered one day and never came back. Since then, every time I come along and see a stray, I take time to really play with them as much as I can.

I was in high school when I first encountered Judith, she was like a month old and was abandoned by her momma cat mainly because of the then super typhoon Ondoy, she was left behind and I found her crying and was just trying to survive the typhoon and the flood, it was 2009. We've taken care of her, had a lot of great memories with her, but unfortunately, just few weeks before the pandemic, she died- she couldn't survive her last pregnancy. She left a beautiful daughter which was born in 2015 and we named her Melon, because she has orange in her color.

Ever since I started earning, I really allot money to feed them. I buy supplies good for a month every payday. I usually walk around the neighborhood, feed any stray that I find and pet them a little. There's like at least 14 cats that come everyday to be fed on a regular basis as they got used to it already, and I feel responsible for them. Right now, I'm almost out of supplies and I don't know how I can feed them once I run out.

Please help me feed these cats in this challenging time. The least expensive cat food that I can get is 100 php per kilo which usually lasts for 2 days. 24,000 should be good enough for a year of supply. I am hoping that in time, everything will be back to normal.
