An estimated 1 million dogs have been abandoned since the beginning of the crisis in Greece. Help me feed the stray dogs in my area of Greece. I have been feeding stray dogs in Greece for 10 years from my own finances. Due to the recent debacle here in July, more and more dogs are being dumped in our neighbourhood. It breaks my heart to see how desperate looking they are & how we can alleviate at least some suffering by providing a meal each day. I would appreciate any donation you can spare, no matter how small, to help me buy dog food.

We also do our best to find homes for these dogs. The campaign photo is a dog my daughter named Izzy. She was so sweet & living in garbage dumped at the side of the road. We managed to find her a loving new home with help from our friends.

Just 7 euros buys 5 kilos of dog biscuits.

Excess funds will be used for medical treatment/vets, as well as helping to fund transport, pet passports, vaccinations etc for any forever homes found abroad.

Please Help this Dog

This is one of the dogs we are feeding. One of our backers has offered to cover the costs of having her sterilised. She is a very sweet natured dog & gentle with my daughter. I'm sure she would make a lovely family pet. Please share this & try to

thanks for all your kind words & donations. it is truly heartbreaking here to see such beautiful dogs abandoned and trying to get by. If this becomes bigger than I need, I will use excess funds for medical treatment, vets, as well as helping to fund transport, pet passports, vaccinations

  • The current situation in Greece regarding the number of stray dogs is indeed tragic. We were used to seeing non breeds roaming the streets but, with the ever-deepening economic crisis, it is not uncommon to see pure breeds dumped out of their homes, trying to survive from the garbage. Really distressing and Tracey is an angel for trying to help them. Any level of donation will be really appreciated I am sure.

  • Well done such a shame but so happy to donate you 50 kilos of dog biscuits... Photo show Dexter our rescue dog from Athens due to arrive to us in Switzerland next week... If anyone is considering getting a dog please just think about one from Greece... They will repay you a million times over with love and fun...

  • Indeed such a tragic situation. Part of the tragedy is that most Greeks will not be able to donate to this campaign beacuse of the capital contols which means GoGetFunding will for now only accept non Greek credit or debit cards.
