Dr Jyotsna Pal a professor of Human Resource Management, during her schooling from St Agnes Loreto Day School was greatly influenced by her British and Anglo Indian nuns selfless acts of helping the needy and poor including her.Since 2006 ,she has been instrumental in pursuing her childhood dream which turned into becoming Jagriti Gyanudaya Convent School(JGCS) in 2018, registered under Jyotsna Welfare Society ,registration number 023068 (valid till 2021).
“CONVENT” words has been used as we will be incorporating all protocols of Missionary Schools followed in India.
We found that large number of students belong to Below Poverty Line(BPL) section as referred in India.After seeing the response from the village we decided to work on this project of educating and empowering the young minds.The highlight of the project would be in providing wholesome care to the child, through academic and personality development ,in maximizing their best potential.It is our pride that such a project is the first of the kind in our village and our organization has initiated it.
The cost of this project as per our initial estimates may touch near Rs 1.5 crores ($2,11,267 ) for the same, we are reaching out to likeminded person and organization like yours to make it a tremendous success. Mr. Kalicharan Pal( Retd Indian Railways), Father of Dr Jyotsna Pal has willingly donated the land for the school, around 250X150 Square ft of agricultural land worth Rs 1.5 Crores.($2,11,267 approx).Dr Jyotsna Pal has donated Rs10 lacs for the getting the boundary drawn out.($14,084 approx). Mr. Chandra Nath Singha has donated Rs 2 lacs for the same.($2,819 approx)
