I am Angie C. Porito, a first-year college student in Quiapo, Manila.

Despite my age, I thank God because He gave me the courage to pursue my dream and that is finishing college and becoming a High School Teacher, and help my mom and my nieces and nephews.

I worked as a call center agent before for more than 2 years and because of the everyday graveyard shift, I notice that it gradually failing my health for I always have headaches until I had a Bell's Palsy.

Now, I decided to go back to studying and pursue my dream and that is to become a teacher in 2020, luckily I was able to convince my aunt to support me somehow, and that is Php5000 a month. With that amount, I could hardly eat because I have to pay for my boarding house. I once tried to be a vendor while studying in December 2020 and because of my work demand, I couldn't attend my class. Which is I fear off because I know if it continues it can affect my studies.

Sometimes, I think of stop pursuing my dream and find a full-time job again. But I still have hope. And I know I need you guys to keep that hope.

My father died a long time ago and my mom doesn't have a decent job and because of her age, she is now settling down at home. I do not have anyone to rely on right now. My siblings could hardly get anything even for their own family.

I'm still hoping that somehow, despite the hardship and slow progress, I could reach my dream and that is to finish my study.
