My name is Eduardo Filós, I am 18 years old and since I was 6 I play soccer. I like to write songs, play Ukulele and I dream of going to Europe to develop myself as a player and as a professional in sports psychology.

I just got my high school degree with honors, thanks to an athletic scholarship, at Combine Academy, a high-performance academy in the United States that is dedicated to prepare Student-Athletes in different branches of sport.

Through this experience I was awarded a scholarship at Odisea Academy to play soccer and study. This academy is located in Valencia, Spain and it would be my dream to be able to enjoy the opportunity to play and study in Europe, however, I have not been able to raise the necessary funds Since the pandemic started my father has only been able to work informally and has been unemployed for 2 years, my mother is working to contribute with the family expenses, but it has been very difficult for us to save money.

This opportunity could open a door to be able to bring more Costa Ricans to the Odisea Academy in Valencia, Spain and be able to raise the level of Soccer in Costa Rica.

Recién acabo de obtener mi título de secundaria con honores, gracias a una beca deportiva, en Combine Academy academia de alto rendimiento en Estados Unidos que se dedica a preparar Estudiantes-Atletas en diferentes ramas del deporte.

Por medio de esta experiencia me otorgaron una beca en Odisea Academy para jugar futbol y estudiar. Esta academia está ubicada en Valencia, España y seria mi sueño poder disfrutar la oportunidad de jugar y estudiar en Europa, sin embargo, no he podido recaudar los fondos necesarios. Mi padre, sólo ha podido trabajar informalmente ya que por la pandemia se quedó sin trabajo desde hace 2 años, mi madre está trabajando para aportar con los gastos de la familia, pero nos ha sido muy difícil ahorrar.

Esta oportunidad podría generar una puerta para, en un futuro, poder llevar a más ticos a la Academia Odisea en Valencia, España y poder subir el nivel de nuestro deporte principal que es el fútbol.
