Hello, strangers on the internet,
I'm a seventeen-year old girl from Austria and am currently living in a rather complicated household. I'm obviously not my parent's favorite child and they refuse to pay for anything that concerns me. I can eat at home most of the time, but while my sibling gets extra money to pay for food if there isn't any at home, I don't, which means I am forced to either pay out of my own pockets, or I have to eat whatever is left at home (provided that the food doesn't already "belong" to my parents or sibling, in which case I'm not allowed to touch it, no matter how hungry I might be). We're in no way poor, we live in a big house, have three cars and a garden, and whenever my sibling needs a new laptop or a new phone because theirs isn't pretty enough anymore, my parents rush to the store to get them the most expensive object they can lay eyes on (of course I don't love my sibling any less because of that, it's not their fault).
Currently I am in dire need of new glasses, because my current ones give me a terrible headache while wearing them and I can't see well enough without them. Of course my parents refuse to buy me new ones, even if it's the cheapest possible pair (despite just recently buying my sibling new ones for 1000€). This is the point where I kindly ask you to donate a small amount of money to help me out here, so I can continue seeing stuff. If two hundred and twenty people were kind enough to give me one euro each, my problem would be solved as if it was by magic.
