I’m a history and philosophy teacher interested in animal-assisted therapy for children with developmental disabilities, autism, communication problems and many more. It is proven that caring for animals and spending time with them helps those children to improve and develop their range of skill very quickly. There isn’t such a place in my city and I can see the demand is huge. My eldest son visits a speech therapist and I meet many parents there, who are interested in this type of therapy and will be happy to try it, if there is such a place nearby. I am also caring for 4 gentle horses who love children and I will be using them for my therapy. I’m also planning to have rabbits, birds and cats for the children to play with in a calm environment.
