Help me build a computer for everyday use and content creation

CAMPAIGN

Hi, this is SHiN and I'm the head and founder of Lazy Lily Fansubs.

I am planning to build a PC that will last me for the next 10-or-so years, and in doing so I need your help in raising the amount needed to buy the essential parts. I don't need to buy every component because I'll be reusing some parts from my current computer like the hard drives, GPU, and the case itself.

PURPOSE

Me and my team of anime enthusiasts are "fansubbers" and "scanlators" who translate anime content to English and distribute these "fan-translations" to English-speaking fans from around the world. Distribute them free of charge. We are not professionals nor we do this for a living, we simply love doing things we love and share our love to fans interested in the projects we've picked. And in order for us to stay competitive, be able to process high resolution scans, audio and video, and have more control over our projects, we're trying to build a PC good enough to handle any task.

And since I am the founder of Lazy Lily Fansubs and I'm the one in charge of video encoding, image processing and distribution, I also want the new computer to serve as my daily driver.

WHAT PARTS TO BUY

The focus of this campaign is to raise enough money to buy the following:

• mid to high-range CPU
• Motherboard
• RAM sticks
• Power Supply Unit

GOAL

Our target goal is $800 and if we continue to receive more funding, the excess will be used to either purchase better parts/components like faster CPU, faster RAM, or miscellaneous accessories like a computer case, a monitor, speakers, etc..

COMMITMENT TO UPDATES

Once we get the parts, we will provide you with photos of said parts with their accompanying receipts. Updates will be posted here and in our blog.

CLOSING STATEMENT

We are not going to save the world by ending wars, end world hunger, cure cancer, or do anything worthwhile for humanity if you wish to help me and Lazy Lily Fansubs. This campaign is solely for us to be able to continue working what we love and nothing more.
