BRING A SMILE IN INDIA

Hi I'm Francesca and I will be 18 in a few months and i want to get involved in this volunteering project, it is really important to me help other people and bring a smile in a land so far from home. India is my dream since i was 7 y.o and I want that this can be reality. it is not my first experience volunteering and I feel confortable help other people.

I have the opportunity of volunteering in India. Here, I shall be involving myself in a women empowerment project and also in an orphanage. With my trip taking place in july 2018, I aim to raise £900 enabling me to make a difference to the lives of the women and children I will be with.

In India , equality is definitely not apparent. Only 66.8% of the women are literate therefore suggesting about a third are illiterate, and this is unacceptable. In the world we live in, I believe everyone should have the right to an education. In the schools and centres where the project is based, I will be privileged to increase the confidence of these women through a general presence, teaching literacy and grammar, and computer skills. It saddens me to know that the women I will be working with, will be around my age group, which increases my drive to want to empower, knowing my opportunities and experiences.

It is eye-opening that 7% of all children in India are orphans and I would so proud to actually be able to bring happiness to their day through either play a game.

Ciao sono Francesca e avrò 18 anni tra pochi mesi e voglio essere coinvolta in questo progetto di volontariato, è molto importante per me aiutare gli altri e portare un sorriso in una terra così lontana da casa. L'India è il mio sogno da quando avevo 7 anni e voglio che questo possa essere realtà. non è la mia prima esperienza di volontariato e mi sento di aiutare facilmente le altre persone.

Ho l'opportunità di fare volontariato in India. Qui, mi coinvolgerò in un progetto di empowerment delle donne e anche in un orfanotrofio. Con il mio viaggio che si terrà nel luglio 2018, ho l'obiettivo di raccogliere £ 900 che mi consentano di fare la differenza nella vita delle donne e dei bambini con cui sarò.

In India, l'uguaglianza non è sicuramente evidente. Solo il 66,8% delle donne è alfabetizzato, il che suggerisce che circa un terzo sia analfabeta, e questo è inaccettabile. Nel mondo in cui viviamo, credo che tutti dovrebbero avere il diritto all'istruzione. Nelle scuole e nei centri in cui il progetto è basato, avrò il privilegio di aumentare la fiducia di queste donne attraverso una presenza generale, l'alfabetizzazione e la grammatica e le abilità informatiche. Mi rattrista sapere che le donne con cui lavorerò saranno intorno alla mia fascia di età, il che aumenta il mio desiderio di voler potenziare, conoscendo le mie opportunità ed esperienze.

Pensate che solo il 7% di tutti i bambini in India sono orfani e sarei così orgogliosa di essere davvero in grado di portare felicità ai loro giorni attraverso il gioco.

Sono così entusiasta di avere l'opportunità di perseguire questi progetti, in quanto è così importante per me. Apprezzo qualsiasi donazione che sei in grado di dare! Grazie per aver dedicato del tempo a leggere questo.
