Help me become a lawyer to help others

Since the beginning of this year (2018), I have been pursuing a law degree (Juris Doctor) in a Singapore University. This was a dream come true. Since 2008, I have struggled with physical ailments that curtailed my ability to excel in my career and faced many financial difficulties. Through the strength of my wife and love of my children, I was able to overcome these challenges and get back to work.

The financial struggles made me realise that there are people in Singapore who need help in legal matters but are unable to afford the fees. They might not be poor but due to ongoing family and financial commitments, are not able to set aside the funds to get legal help. These people, and the those that are poor, genuinely need legal help.

The only way for me to help such people is to become a lawyer myself and provide very affordable legal help and free legal advice through pro bono work. My wife is willing to share the family commitment while I can spend my efforts in helping people.

Currently, through grant and sponsorship, I am able to cover some of my study fees but am struggling to cover the rest. I had to put my studies on hold since June this year as I could not pay the semester fees.

I would need $10,600 to settle the semester fees by end December 2018 so that I can continue pursing my law degree and fulfill my commitment to help others.

Please help me to help others.
