Last December 9, 2017, I was diagnosed with Leiomyosarcoma Stage 1B after my Hysterectomy in November 2017. Leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is a rare type of cancer that affects smooth muscle tissue. These tumors are most common in the abdomen, but can occur anywhere in the body, including the uterus. Other common sites include blood vessels and skin. LMS is caused by gene mutations in the DNA of a single smooth muscle cell that has multiplied itself. What caused this mutation is unknown and more research is needed. I completed my 6 cycle of Chemotherapy last May 2018 and had my PET Scan done in July 2018 with all clear results. Full monitoring, from Mamography, Colonoscopy, CT Scan etc. while on remission. Last November 2018 during my Lung CT Scan, a nodule (0.9cm) found on my Upper Right Lung which needs to be check through Biopsy. However, my Oncologist and Radiologist confirmed that this nodule was part of the scarring due to the previous infection.
We have managed to raise some money to get the treatment started but I’m trying to boost it again as recently, (July 11, 2019) I have done my PET Scan again and it turned out that another nodule was spotted on my left lung lower lobe measuring to 1.0cm. This time my Oncologist recommended to do VATS (Video Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery) to remove the nodule followed by Biopsy. Due to my continuous treatment and expensive medical expenses, I have used up all my savings, drained my health insurance to sustain all the treatment that I needed. With a little help and support again, I am trying to raise the amount that I will be needing for this procedure (VATS) so I could be able to continue this treatment. I am humbly asking for your help to raise the amount for this procedure. With a little help, you would be able to save my life. God Bless.
