Good day! My name is Siyabonga Radebe, I am a high school graduate. I grew up in Benoni, Gauteng.
Recently, I received my college admissions decision, and i am so excited to share with you that I have been accepted to Pace university for the economics program, starting in the fall 2020 semester in the New York city campus. In consideration to my accomplishments I have been selected to receive the President scholarship for $20,000 dollars. However, recently my family has been unfortunate to experience an extreme setback on our financial situation.
Just a day after recieving my acceptance letter from Pace, my father passed away. He was our family main income provider. My Mother remains employed part time at a minimum wage organisation. Consequently, we are all of a sudden unable to pay for my college education.
It is my sincere wish to attend Pace university this fall, and currently that is in jeopardy. Furthermore, as a global citizen I would be able to enrich the academics space at Pace university with a uniquely south African viewpoint. Additionally, I would like to engage with the many perspectives held in USA. All of these potential experiences will help me to become an impactful global citizen. Your help will be greatly appreciated and thank you for taking time to read my story.
