Help me afford some sweet assistive tech!

Most of you, if you're coming from Tumblr, know that I've had a repetitive strain injury since 2012 (courtesy of a high-stress temporary data entry job) that causes potentially-severe pain in my right hand and fingers when using a computer. I work full-time at a desk job that requires constant computer use, plus am a part-time student with all the paper-writing and researching that implies, and prior to my injury was an avid gamer (I'm still a gamer even now, just less avidly so because ow), so this causes severe impediments in my daily life. Especially recently - it had been getting better, but some major projects at work combined with keeping up on school stuff has meant that my pain is steadily increasing again. I've tried touchpads (great at first, but started causing slightly different pain issues after a couple weeks) and currently use a Kensington trackball at work and a Logitech trackball at home, both of which are less worse but still hard on my hand.

The physical therapist I saw for awhile recommended a RollerMouse to replace my regular mouse, since mousing is far more painful and problematic than typing alone. She told me it would solve a lot of my day-to-day issues and significantly aid in my recovery and functionality. The insurance company, however, refused to cover it, meaning if I want it I have to come up with the cash myself. Or...ask for help.

So I'm asking my friends, if you can, to step in where the insurance company refused to help, and pitch in to help me cover the cost of the RollerMouse.

I've set the length of this campaign to 30 days, because I'm reaching out to Contour Design today to initiate their 30-day free trial. Whether I get to keep it at the end of that time or have to send it back and go back to my touchpads and trackballs will depend on the success of this campaign.

Help me, internets. You're my only hope.
