Hello, my name is Cameron, I live in Argentina. I decided to reach out and ask for help, because my girlfriend, Marilyn, has been suffering from mental health problems. She's been recently diagnosed with depression and started taking medication. The problem is: we don't have a lot of money to afford the treatment. And even worse, even though she was given a low dose to get her body accustomed to the medication, it needs to start getting higher, which means the prices will start to raise as well. (I will provide medication and prices details down below. I've also added pictures of the packagings as proof)

Before I get into the backstory, I'd like to point out that 1 USD equals aproximately 60 Argentinian pesos. So even if you can donate just 1 dollar, or less, it'll be of great help. Really, every little bit counts. And if you can't help finantially, please, help us by sharing this, maybe someone else who comes across this will be able to!

☆━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━☆

Our country has been in a big economic crisis for some time now, and it seems like it's not gonna get better anytime soon. Everything has become expensive, salaries aren't getting any higher, and (the cherry on top) our city is Argentina's "capital of unemployment". So you can imagine how difficult this is all being for us, a young couple trying to start off our adult lives.

It's been difficult enough with us starting living pretty much on our own, buying the cheapest food while also trying to keep at least a somewhat balanced diet (we're failing horribly lol), feeding our newly adopted kitten, and taking care of other health problems we both have. We also should fix two broken windows in the house before fall comes and temperatures drop, because we don't even have heating and it'll be freezing here.

Now, it feels like we'll have to start picking priorities soon, and neglect the things we won't be able to afford.
The thing is, those are all pretty basic necesities, and on top of that, I'm going to start university, which means more expenses, mostly on public transportation.

I wanna add that fortunately, my parents help us pay for her psychiatrist appointments, but that's something that I'd like to be able to pay for as well. I had to beg my mom to help us because Marilyn's parents don't really care, they don't believe in mental illness and much less in treating them with medication. We can't get them to change their minds, they're in denial, and they don't see that this is real, that her illness, her suffering, and the risk of her taking her life are real too.

So, I'm reaching out, putting this out there for anyone who would like to lend us a hand in this difficult and desperate time. I'm asking for help because I feel like it's all getting out of control, my girlfriend's health is declining everyday, and she's losing hope. I'm really, really scared she's gonna give up and take her own life if she doesn't get the medication she needs soon. I do my absolute best to care for her, but right now, money is something I don't have control over. I love her with every fiber of my being, and I just wanna make her happy, now, and for the rest of our lives. I wanna give her the best always, so she may be the happiest woman in the world. I can't lose her, I don't want to accept an ending if it's not a happy one. She's the love of my life, she's the purest and strongest person i've ever met, and it breaks my heart to watch her suffer like this, to see her contemplate taking her life to stop hurting. She doesn't deserve this, not even one bit.

The donations will be used exclusively for buying the pills her psychiatrist prescribes her. And the rest of our money will be used wisely.

If you decide you want to help us, I don't know how I will repay all of you, but just know I will be infinitely grateful and I'll use all of the donations with 100% honesty and responsability. I won't take any of this for granted. My heart is hopeful and beating out of my chest with just the thought that at least someone out there will feel for us an help us out.
