Help me afford a PH.D. In psychology i want to help others

Hello

My name is Amber and I’m 17 years old.

I’ve had many unfortunate events happen to me in my life.

My mom passed away of cancer when I was 12 so I lived with my dad and brother.

When I was 15 I was a victim of sexual assault and a video was spread around my small school (80 kids in the whole high school)

I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety and when I was 16 my father found out about the video.

Just after I turned 17 I went to the police with my fathers promise that I would be able to move in with my aunt. My dad took make his promise and so I moved in with my aunt anyway and my father signed papers saying I’m on my own. Originaly he wouldn’t change my schools and he was goning to make me live on the street and be forced to wait till I was 18 before I could change schools but my aunt talked to him.

It was good for 6 months but my aunt had to move because of her job.

Since I want to go to Dalhousie University in Halifax I moved there on my own.

Now I’m finishing high school and trying to get income assistance as well as a job.

I have nothing to my name and I’m staying with a friend who’s helping me out right now.

I don’t have much time before I will have to pay tuition and I won’t be able to pay it.

I want to get a PH.D. In psychology and help people struggle with mental illnesses.

I am a good student and last summer I had a 85 average but since I was moving from Ontario to Nova Scotia I missed Dalhousies deadline for a scholarship.

So now it’s all on me, I’ll take out a loan but it won’t be nearly enough for 8 years

I’m trying to raise money for all of my 8 years of education.
