Help Maya get healthy

Many of you know us as the dedicated owners of Billy and Louie The Basenjis from both Instagram and Facebook. You also may know about all of Louie's health issues, and how much we have done/spent to keep him as healthy as possible.

Now, it's time for us to try and help an other Basenji; Billy's sister Maya.

Maya is a 4 year old Basenji living in Norway. She recently had to be removed from her home by her breeder, due to neglect by the co-owner. She has spent a good portion of her everyday life being crated, neglected, closed up inside and has very few opportunities to be the playful and outgoing dog she is.

Her breeder removed her from her co-owners home, and now she's going to spend some time getting healthy. As her breeder has 5 other dogs in her care along with a 15 month old toddler, Maya is coming to stay with us for a while. Yes, she's going to spend her summer with her brother Billy and "bonus" brother Louie. She's going to get healthy, build more muscle mass, enjoy the outdoors, go hiking, playing with Billy and Louie and coming with us on holiday to our summer house

Even though her breeder has done the best thing she could for her by removing her from her previous home, Maya still needs help. Maya is underweight, has almost no muscles mass, extremely long claws, needs dental cleaning, to be spayed, vaccinated and have a general health check. Togehter with her breeder we're asking for help so Maya can get healthy again.
