Help May Hope’s Heart

9th January 2020 at 08:37am, I received a call from my cousin from Iligan City Philippines. He told me that my brother, May Hope, had a heart attack and passed out.

This is the 2nd time he was rushed to the hospital. The first time it happened, it was not clearly stated what caused it, and there was no proper diagnosis.

This time, he was rushed to the emergency room and then needed to be transferred to an ICU for his condition was already critical.

Unfortunately, the hospital he was rushed to didn't have an ICU. After almost 3 hours, he was finally transferred to Mercy Hospital where his condition was temporarily stabilized. But despite the proper medication that the hospital gave, my brother can still hardly breathe and was still in pain when he gained consciousness.

At around 7:37pm, the Cardiologist finally advised us that he needs to undergo angiogram and angioplasty to determine where the blockage was and to remove the blockage as soon as possible.

The current hospital cannot do those procedures since they didn't have the personnel and equipment. He will have to be transferred to Cagayan de Oro City. It’s the closest city that conducts and have new/necessary facilities for angiogram.

Just the angiogram alone would cost 80k+ pesos and the angioplasty roughly 300k to 400k+ depending on the stents that is needed. As of now, he is still in an ICU at Iligan City and the daily medication would reach more than 11k every day apart from (lab test , ICU room).

My brother May Hope, 36 years old is a father of four and his wife is a housewife. Although he is a government employee, it is impossible for him alone to come up with the amount that is needed for his healing and recovery.
