Help Massimo save his house.

In recent years I have had to pay 1200 euros per month for the care of my son, who is suffering from a serious degenerative disease called CDKL5, This payment includes his medical expenses and countless other needs.

Last week I received an executive deed for a sum of €20,800 to be paid by March 26th. In the absence of my prompt payment, I am being threatened by the forced execution by foreclosure of the house where I live with my mother, an 85-year-old woman suffering from senile dementia.

The request concerns my alleged non-payments which have always been fully respected, even though they are practically unsustainable for a person without a fixed salary.

The house that I live in with my mother is the only thing we have left. We cannot afford to lose it.

In recent years my mother sold the only property she owned in order to offer my creditor a fair settlement, which has been refused. Over the years, over 150,000 euros in expenses have been paid. We have literally become impoverished. I have done my utmost to put my ideas and my family's savings to work, attempting to re-negotiate my "lifetime debt," which from the start has never been a realistic or fair burden for someone with my income.

No assistance has ever come from institutions, relatives (apart from my immediate family), or anywhere else. The situation has been becoming increasingly unsustainable for years.

This act of foreclosure will in fact prevent us from being able to, in agreement with my mother, dispose of a possible division, sale, or rental of the house which, I repeat, is the only thing we have. At 52 years old, starting from scratch is not an easy thing, especially while having to face yet another problem like this.

The physical condition of my son will soon require me to have to personally (if not exclusively) pay for a facility where he can receive treatment and be followed by doctors and nurses constantly. Since all this has to fall on me, I don't see how I can do it by finding myself stuck with a house that I cannot dispose of by selling to provide for all the necessary expenses).

Our home has monthly out-of-pocket expenses to bear.

The legal costs to support this battle are huge, but it is the formal request that is impossible for us to sustain without asking for help from our friends and all those who want to help us by donating any sum.

My job as president of the Misty Lane Cultural Association ended three years ago. Anyone who knows me knows that I am selling my record collection (since my work has always been linked solely and exclusively to music), and now also my musical instruments and what little value is left in the house.
