I am humbly knocking on your kind hearts to help us raise funds for Mama Aida’s much needed treatment.

1st week of October when there was a persistent change in her bowel habits. It’s frequent than usual.
The situation went on and she already lost appetite which resulted to weight loss and fatigue. She no longer wants to go out because of the “diarrhea” that won’t go away.
This was the time that we were able to finally convince her to visit the doctor.

Last week of October - Fecalysis, was given antibiotics for 3 days but still no improvement

11/5/2019
Whole Abdomen Ultrasound - appears Ok
1st visit to the Gastroenterologist.
Mama was given the option to take another round of antibiotics or try colonoscopy right away. She chose antibiotics for 7 days.

No improvement and felt weaker so we asked for clearance from her Internist for Colonoscopy

11/20/19 Colonoscopy
Though the colon has been found clean and clear, a tumor has been found on her rectum already causing 70% obstruction.
A sample tissue has then been taken for biopsy.
Abdominoperineal resection (surgery) should be done to remove the tumor.

We initially informed Mama that it was internal hemorrhoids so as not to add to her worries and anxiety.

Devastated of the result, as a daughter and her constant companion, I cannot show any signs of weakness to my Mama.

11/25/19
Blood chem - CEA (Tumor Marker), Creatinine etc.

11/26/19
Abdominal CT Scan with contrast
2D Echo
Xray

12/4/19
I was informed by the doctor that it’s already Stage4 Rectal cancer metastasized to her liver

12/5/19
Admitted at Meycauayan Doctor’s Hospital
Biopsy results show undifferentiated carcinoma meaning the cancer cells are very aggressive.
12/6/19
Blood Transfusion because she's already anemic
12/7/19
Operation
The tumor has not be removed because it’s too extensive and already infiltrating the tissue that if the surgeons forced to take it out, will cause excessive bleeding.
The surgeons brought outside the colon through the abdominal wall thus Mama is now on permanent colostomy bag.

January 2020

She will initially be starting with 4 sessions (out of 12) for her chemotherapy treatment. She will be admitted 2 nights every 2 weeks which will cost us about 50k ($1000) per session.

While the family members has been immensely supportive, the financial capacity isn't enough for the medical expenses.
I don't know what else to do that's why I decided to go online in the hopes that some generous souls can help us.
I really hope that you can extend a helping hand for her. Any amount, no matter how big or small will all go to her maintenance medicines, colostomy supplies, regular checkups and treatment (chemo & radiation).

We are fervently praying that we will overcome this challenge through your help and through the mercy of God.

Thank you and God Bless you.
