Help Make A Dream Reality

For as long as I can remember I have only had one dream. That dream was to be an Author. My love for books started with reading Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell. I fell in love with romance books then and started writing little skits to entertain myself and my family. I'd always had to bribe my friends into helping me act them out. As I had gotten older I stopped writing and turned to only reading about them. My taste in romances evolved as I've gotten older. About a year ago, I started writing again in my spare time between taking some college classes.

When I finally finished writing my book I had no idea how hard it was going to be to get it published. I had no idea how much money it was going to cost to have a book go through editing, proofreading, line editing, character development and so much more. Or how much it would cost to have a book cover or ebook cover made. It wouldn't seem like an ebook cover would cost almost as much as a regular book cover would cost but they are almost the same price.

I had finally decided I would just publish my book through self-publishing. I did everything from editing to making my own book cover and doing media posts on every social media site I was on myself. Which neither of these paths has seem to help.

I've sold 100 ebook copies since publishing my book and there has been a few books returned because people found misspelled words that my software missed and hard to read sentences. And the ones that kept my book most liked the story and said it was good and had potential but really needed an editor. With this type of response I'm not sure I want to even finish my second book. If I can't get the sales for the book I know I'll to put my writing to the side again.

With these funds, I am asking for I hope to pay to hire an editor to edit my book along with the second and third book I'm working on now. I'd like to get professionally made covers for both books and hire someone to help with the marketing of my both books. Having this support would mean the world to me. It will allow me to hire the support I need to get my books to the people who will enjoy my books and love for romances and true love as much as I enjoyed writing it. Which, in turn, will allow me more time for writing and less time worrying. I'll finally be able to make my dreams a reality with the help that this money will give me.
