Help Lwandile attend UWC-USA!

Hello friends!

I need your help. My name is Lwandile Dlamini - a 16 year old girl from South Africa with big dreams! I love reading, watching crime documentaries, spending time with family and helping people. I am a representative of the South African National Blood Services and I also try to maintain an A aggregate in my academics. I've excelled in many math and literature competitions and I have also participated in community and charity work. Last November, I applied for placement at one of the United World Colleges and, after multiple rounds of an intense and highly competitive application process in South Africa, I got accepted to UWC-USA (https://www.uwc-usa.org/). The main reason I had applied to this school was to get a better education for myself as well as lift some of the financial burden off my mother. Luckily, I was granted a scholarship which covered the full cost of tuition, room, and board however; extra costs such as flights, health insurance, and visa application fees will not be covered and are at my own expense. These extra costs of attendance over the 2 years come to roughly 6200$USD.

Coming from a single-parent household where my widowed mother is the sole breadwinner and is financially responsible for 4 people in our house, $6200USD presents a huge financial burden to my family. Attending UWC-USA is a dream of mine and I would hate for my finances to hinder me from fulfilling my dream.
