Campaign Story
On April 20th Luna got out of her yard. She was running in an alley where some kids were located, when one of them pulled out a gun and shot her in the face.
Luna was found by a Chicago Police Officer who took her into animal control. Her owners came immediately for her, relieved she had been found but devastated their family pet had been shot. They took her to the emergency vet where she received care, but was referred to a specialty vet to see a neurologist.
Luna is now at MedVet in Chicago where she is waiting to get a CT scan to evaluate whether she can have the bullet removed. She is also receiving basic support as she is not eating and in a lot of pain.
Luna's family loves her very much. Please help us get her well so she can go back home.
