Help Lulu on his healing journey

Hi, my name is Diana and today I want to present my wonderful father (Corneliu, often called Lulu). An artist at the heart, travel lover and so passionate about music, now he needs the good help to fully recover.

At the beginning of April this year he had an ischemic stroke. That affected his left side of the body leaving him this way nearly paralised.

He spent then the following weeks in the hospital, catching and dealing in the same time with bronchopneumonia and several other unpleasant conditions.

He went the next month to a treatment centre, where he strived to accomplish daily a couple of routine exercises, but his now weak, only one part slowly moving constitution made everything have a little noted progress. But so little.

In Romania, the law allows you only 2 to 4 weeks to benefit from every each treatment centre. So now he is at home, where he enjoys his family, his home and a few little pleasures he had when everything was normal (TV, music, peace and quiet). For us, his family members, it's nice having him closer and seeing him easier. :) But for all of us - wife, sister and two daughters - it's sometimes very hard to take care of him. He is very heavy, you need 2 to 3 people to move/change his position in order to meet his needs.

The washclothes, the medication, the healthy supplements, the daily care of a kinetotherapist and the help of a nurse, these are things that he has to have on a daily basis. After 2 weeks he will be committed to another treatment centre to improve his state. And this cycle will keep continuing maybe for, at least, the next 6 months.

All this cannot, unfortunately, be fully covered by his allowance nor by our financial support. Please help him get his health on the road to recovery. Any donations you can afford are greatly appreciated and will support him immensely.

He is now 70 and all his life wanted to do nice things, especially travel. He dreams he will be able again to do it and personally I always desired to take him to Paris. He is so in love with this city.
