Help Luke Travel with GHS Choir to DisneyWorld

Hi, my name is Joyce, and I am fundraising for my son, Luke, who is a junior at Georgetown High School. He participates in choir, soccer and Junior ROTC. He works hard, makes good grades and also volunteers at the Georgetown Public Library.

The GHS band, choir and orchestra are going to Orlando in March to enjoy four fun-filled days at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT and Animal Kingdom parks. Luke has his heart set on joining his classmates on this incredible adventure. The Fine Arts Department does not have a coordinated school fundraiser, so it is up to each student to raise funds on their own.

I would very much like to be in a financial position where I did not have to solicit donations from friends and family, but as many of you know, we are a one-parent, one-income household. Keeping a growing, active teenage boy fed and clothed is not easy. Increases in the cost of food and household goods have crunched an already tight budget. In addition, I have had two surgeries, two other medical procedures and four weeks of twice-weekly physical therapy sessions this year that have set us back significantly financially.
