Campaign Story
My name is Luis Malave. I am living with my wife and two children near Olon, Ecuador, which is an area that relies heavily on tourism. Covid-19 has taken away my ability to earn a living through my business, OUTDOOR ECUADOR. My business (Surf School) was doing well but with no tourists now, the business is not making any money. This is why I need to find a new way to support my family. When tourism was good, I employed locals at my business as well as coordinated home stays which benefitted both local families and tourists.
I always like to volunteer and give back to my community. I used to let the local children use the surfboards from OUTDOOR ECUADOR for free. It was a healthy way to keep them busy. During the pandemic lockdown, I volunteered in food deliveries for people. It is always good to support your community which is why I want my fishing boat to be a success-I could employ others and share the good fortune.
I would like to buy a FISHING BOAT. I am a hard worker and know how to run a business. With my own boat, I would be able to fish and provide for my FAMILY and others as well as sell the extra fish at market for cash. Ideally I would also EMPLOY OTHERS in my town.
I would truly appreciate any amount you could donate as this would bring me closer to me being able to provide for my FAMILY and SUPPORT MY COMMUNITY.
