Help Loretta Fight Breast Cancer

In August our mother, Loretta was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer. She is scheduled to undergo a lumpectomy, to remove the tumor, followed by several weeks of daily radiation. Thankfully we do not anticipate she will have to undergo chemotherapy as long as the cancer has not spread to her lymph nodes. We will not know the result until after the surgery.

Loretta has given so much of her time serving the community. She spent many years working as a nurse and social worker. She spent years advocating for the elderly and now children. Currently she works for Department of Public Health and Human Services working with children.

Over the past year, Loretta has been hospitalized several times for other illnesses. One of these stays she had to be admitted to the ICU due to the seriousness of her illness. These hospital stays, have depleted her sick/medical and vacation leave. This leaves her without the needed sick/medical and/or vacation time she will need durning her treatment.

We, her children, Mary, Eleanor and Daniel, are concerned about how the added financial stress will effect her success with her treatment. This is why we have started this fund account. We don't want her to worry about paying medical bills, utility bills, or buying groceries while fighting cancer. We want her to be able to just focus on getting well.

We are asking if you have the means, to help us assist in relieving some of this burden for our mother, Loretta. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
