It started when my father was just complaining of dizziness. I thought he was just having another vertigo attack so I provided him medications that gave him temporary relief. The following day, I noticed the slurring in speech so I had him checked by an IM-Cardiologist and IM-Neurologist. They ordered him to have a Cranial MRI with MRA and found an acute infarct involving left ventral pons an small right parietal subcortical hemorrhage. Prior the procedure, he couldn't stand and walk anymore.
DIAGNOSIS: Acute CVD Infarct, Left Ventral Pons and Caudate Nucleus, Chronic Kidney Disease Secondary to DM Nephropathy vs Hypertensive Nephrosclerosis; Ischemic Heart Disease.
My father was a humanitarian and has helped a lot of indigenous people during his younger years. He was a legal counsel of the poor, helped them fight the injustices they received. He provided them help and assistance without asking anything in return.
With this, I am reaching out to everyone who can help us on our medical bills. He's been in the Neuro ICU since July 7, and our hospital bill has sky-rocketed to almost 400k in just 1 week (which doesn't include the professional fees of the doctors yet). He needs to stay for few more days for observation, recovery and medications.
A simple and small act of kindness is very much appreciated. Yes, PCSO assistance is being processed now, and my father will still have his Senior Citizen and PhilHealth discounts, but are not suffice to cover our bills. The post-admission expenses would still be heavy because of PT/OT therapy, continuous medication, hiring a health worker to assist at home, etc.

I am sure you would do the same for your parents.
Thank you very much and God bless you all!
