Hello! I'm posting this to help my friend's cat. The cat has been diagnosed with FIP, or Feline Infectious Peritonitis. Unfortunately, it's a fatal disease. There's hope, but the downside is that it's extremely expensive.

I hope you can find it in your heart to spare a few pesos for Lolo Cat (every little bit helps and is VERY much appreciated). Posting my friend's words below:

--

Hi everyone! This is Lolo Cat:

He's a stray cat that I adopted.

Actually, he adopted me. I was at a time of my life when I was literally alone. No friends, away from family, zero contact with anyone. I spent my days just trying to survive the pandemic, without anyone to talk to.

And then this little guy showed up. (I found out later on that this cat is about 8 to 9 years old already, so maybe this lolo cat sensed that there's a 2-legged youngling who needed companionship.)

This random old stray cat became my best friend.

Recently, he started vomiting. He became lethargic, and he was constantly gagging. I only have a minimal monthly income, but I couldn't help but bring him to the vet. After a few days of confinement, I got the worst news a cat owner can get: Lolo Cat has FIP, a fatal infection in cats with a near 100% mortality rate.

Basmi FIP Philippines has the medicine that my cat needs to survive (about 89% of FIP cats survive with the help of the GS-441524 drug.)

Treatment costs Php 6,600 per vial (which is good for 5 days worth of injections). Lolo Cat needs to be treated for at least 84 days, which means I need to shell out over Php 110,000 if I want him to live, not even counting the vet bills.

That is far more than what I can afford. Most people would advise me to just mercifully put Lolo Cat down, and I know that that's the reasonable thing to do... but I can't. This cat was my only family for a long time. If I can fight to extend his life, then I will do everything I can. So in addition to other things I'm doing to raise funds, I am humbly asking for your help.

It might seem foolish to spend such a big amount on an old, stray, sick cat, but a wise person told me that love isn't stupid. I love Lolo Cat so much. I'm sure if you met him, you'd love him too.

Please help me extend Lolo Cat's life! I will be forever grateful for any donation amount. I know God originally put us humans on this earth in order to take care of His creations, but I think this cat creation of His took care of me instead. Please help me return the favor.

God bless all of you!
