Campaign Story
I am a farmer from Malaysia. I went to agriculture after resigning a year ago. Before this I was a newspaper reporter who worked about 7 years.
Being a farmer is a challenge. I'm lack of knowledge and starting without enough cost. But I'm willing to try because human being are facing food crisis and I believe even small efforts can contribute to this society.
The land I planted was rented from government. Size is about 12 acres with only 1 workers. In the beginning, I plant a lot of jade fruit trees, banana and papaya. But I was facing a lot of problem when the WILD ELEPHANTS started coming to destroy my land since July 2019.
The trees destroyed by wild elephants.
The elephants have no places to go because there were deforestation near the area.
Until now the elephants crisis still cannot be solved. I have no incomes to pay for my rental, worker salary, fertilizer and other expenses in my daily life. I'm facing bank and friends debt too.
I change my planting from fruit trees to LIME TREES to avoid elephants from invading. I need some funds to overcome my expenses before I can harvest limes. This is the reason I came gofundme.com to seek for helps.
My target is about 6000 US Dollars. This will enable me to clear my debt and make sure my planting can be continue in this 5 years period. I don't wish to give up my lovely trees and the dogs I keep in my farm.
The lime trees are growing well.
I am taking care of some stray dogs.
No matter where you come from, I wish I can have some help. I will appreciate so much to receive any amount from you.
Thanks for reading and forgive my inadequate English grammar.
