[Baby’s illness]

Baby Liew Yuw Hong, 8 months old, is living in Bentong. Baby Yuw Hong was born when his mother pregnant 8 months. When baby Yuw Hong was born, the doctor checked that his heart was missing a blood vessel. Normal person's heart should have two blood vessels that let the blood go into the heart, and two blood vessels that let the blood come out of the heart. But baby Yuw Hong’s heart is missing a bleeding vessel that let the blood come out of the heart, leading to too much blood inside the heart of baby Yuw Hong. Therefore, baby Yuw Hong must undergo three operations. Baby Yuw Hong was already operating for the first time when he was about three months old. Not only that, baby Yuw Hong must be hospitalized for two months after each operation. So, baby Yuw Hong was released from the hospital about five months old. Baby Yuw Hong needs to undergo two more surgeries. At present, baby Yuw Hong is preparing to undergo second operation. But baby Yuw Hong is currently only 6kg, so it will not be able to perform the operation, he will undergo the operation until he is 8kg. The cost of the second operation cost is estimated to be RM45,000 - RM50000. Baby Yuw Hong is recuperating at home. In addition, baby Yuw Hong still needs to take the medicine on time and go back to IJN hospital referral every month, which costs about RM700 – RM800 each time.

[Mr Liew’s illness]

Baby Yuw Hong’s father, Liew Nam Lian, 46 years old. When Mr Liew was alone at home in September of this year, Mr Liew was unlucky to slip on the toilet. So, Mr Liew slowly climbed up and called his brother-in-law for help. Therefore, the brother-in-law took Mr Liew to the government hospital in Bentong for inspection. When the doctor touched Mr Liew's stomach, the doctor found that there was a 4cm things inside Mr Liew’s stomach. Mr Liew was transferred to Hospital Temerloh due to the government hospital did not have gastroscope. At present, Mr Liew is recuperating at home and waiting for the report of 19th this month to know the result.

[Family’s bitterness]

Liew Nam Lian, 46 years old, was a chef, with salary RM3000. Mr Liew must bear the cost of living expenses for a family of nine members, including Mrs Liew, four children, Mr. Liew's parents and Mr. Liew's lower IQ sister. Mr Liew's brother had helped Mr Liew to pay for his living expenses, but Mr Liew's brother was passed away last year. At present, Mr Liew must bear the living expenses a family of nine members alone. In addition, Mr Liew must bear the huge operation cost of his younger son. Not only that, Mr Liew's eldest son is currently studies in primary school, and his eldest daughter is going to study at kindergarten next year. These living expenses made him feels helpless, so he seeks help from the public, he hoped that he could raise the cost of medical and cure his young son and his own disease. The most painful thing in the world is that a good father cannot work because of the condition of the body, but wants to help the child to raise money to cure the disease, but has the heart and the insufficient strength.
