Our little boy Adrian is a very lively and a happy little guy. He always smiles and is seldom sad. He is our little source of constant sunshine. Adrian is our second child and a long awaited second child at that. We tried to conceive him for 3 years and finally he was born in September of 2017.
He was a regular infant, who was developing at a proper pace. However, we started noticing some oddities - he loved bouncing in his cot for a very long time, he gnawed on all the wooden elements of his cot, tore away wallpaper in his room. During one of his regular checkups, the neurologist noticed that he was avoiding eye-contact. She recommended us to visit a local psychiatric clinic for evaluation. There we found out that our little baby boy had Autistic Syndrome Disorder. This was a huge blow to us as we were both young when Adrian was born and our first born is a very healthy and super intelligent boy.
Today we are undergoing corrective therapy: we have social interaction specialists and a visiting ABA specialist working with him. Both these therapies are carried out once a week each and are not enough to enable Adrian to develop at a proper pace. At moment he is non verbal and does not react to people calling him. He should get at least 4 days of various therapies such as speech therapy, group therapy, ABA, PECS, etc. We are doing our best to be able to afford all this but it is difficult on a salary of a mid level executive with a mortgage in one of the most expensive cities of the world. I used to work as well, however, a year before Adrian was born my mother fell seriously ill and is now disabled, which adds to our medical bills and doesn't permit me to get a job as I need to take care of my mom and my son.
We require at least USD 1500.00 per month to be able to afford all the corrective therapies required by Adrian. In addition to that we are planning to take Adrian to Assuta Clinic in Israel for additional diagnosis and treatment which will cost additional USD 30-50 000
We are confident that he will defeat this disorder and become a healthy and happy boy with your help. We love him a lot and seeing him in this state is eating away at us. Every cent you donate will be greatly appreciated.Thank you very much!
