Help Leo fight FIP

Leo was rescued from the streets when he was a month-old kitten. Left alone by fate to wander alone, he was a fighter even then. He struggled for survival and tried to woo every passerby to take him in. People and kids alike played with him and found him cute but sadly no one took him home.

We happened to wander out the same night by chance and saw this small kitten trying to enter the society watchman's quarters as the last attempt for safety. We just couldn't leave him out in the cold and got him home. He won our hearts with his innocence and love and we decided to adopt him.

Leo has grown into a beautiful, majestic cat with a golden heart. Once a stray himself, he has helped foster kittens and showered them with love. However, 3 months ago he got dull and started losing weight. He started having breathing difficulty. Vet visits showed fluid in the lungs (pleural effusion) and we began his treatment. Day by day costs started piling up but we couldn't give up on him. He has had multiple x-rays, blood tests, cytology, scans, and surgeries for fluid removal but remains strong throughout it all.

He has been diagnosed with FIP (feline infectious peritonitis) which was a fatal disease till a few years back. But it can now be treated with an innovative antiviral drug GS. The drug is very effective and has cured many cats to date but is very expensive.

We have spent more than INR 50,000 on him but need another INR 2,50,000 for his treatment. It would be very helpful if we can raise even half of this amount. We will keep doing whatever we can to cure him.
