Help LeLe in being HDB-approved

This is a story abt my 8 months old dog, LeLe, a mongrel breed born 30th August 2018.

I adopted LeLe when she was about 2 weeks old at a factory in the east of Singapore. LeLe has many siblings, some were adopted by others but unfortunately for those who didn't manage to find a home, have to be a watchdog for the factory with rice as their staple food. The moment I saw LeLe, I knew I had to give her a loving safe home.

During December 2018, LeLe injured her nails and we had to pay off $100+ bill and bought 2 cones because she destroyed the first one. Thereafter, things were fine until she reached 5 months old. LeLe started getting possessive about things and protective of the house. Whenever neighbours merely open their door or whenever LeLe hear neighbours' footsteps, she'd start barking. It is impossible to control her and because of this, she's at risk of being taken away by the authority if any neighbours complain.

As LeLe is a mongrel, she is not HDB-approved. However, she is able to under the project ADORE (ADOption and REhoming of dogs). From what I have researched, there are criterias to be qualified for this program - which is for her to be vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, and undergo compulsory basic obedience training by AVA-accredited trainers. The only thing we did as of now is vaccination due to financial difficulties.

Sterilizing alone would cost over $500-1000. Another issue other than sterilization would be the compulsory basic obedience training to obtain a certificate to mark their completion to be HDB-approved. This basic obedience training alone cost up to $350 for 6 sessions (inclusive of administrative fee) which is a struggle for us financially.

We are reaching out to kind souls to help us in making her HDB-approved. She is a loving dog but is at risk of getting complains from the neighbours due to her overprotectiveness of her house.
