Give Larissa Ohara the gift of mobility

Hello, my friends. We are here to tell the story of Larrissa Ohara, who lives in Porto Seguro, Brazil. She is a 25-year old female born prematurely with cerebral palsy who desperately requires a motorized wheelchair.

Everyone complains about the COVID lockdowns but imagine if you were locked down at home and in a wheelchair all the time! Larrisa desperately needs a motorized wheelchair so that she can have a semblance of independence. Currently, Larissa has a manual wheelchair. She depends on her mother and grandmother for all of her daily needs since she lacks the upper body strength and coordination required to successfully control the manual wheelchair.

We ask for your help so Larissa can finally enjoy a little more autonomy, mobility, and independence. One of Larissa's wishes is to be able to move around without depending on others. When asked what her dream is, she says, "My dream is to be able to go from the bedroom to the kitchen alone."

Unfortunately, Larissa's family does not have the financial resources to purchase the chair to meet her needs. After exhaustive research, we have found that the ideal motorized chair for Larissa is the Ortobras mod E4 / ULX aluminum chair, which costs approximately $5,000 SGD in Brazil.
