4 years ago he left us, leaving us with pain and confusion. He is close, yet so far away. In between walls he cannot escape, we can go in yet life is so limited with him. Like if we clicked pause on a life that is meant for so much more. We ask for your help to regain an amazing soul that was never meant to be locked up. Goal: $14,000 for parole attorney. This year is the year that Eduardo H Flores is up for parole. November 16, 2017 to be exact. Sad accident that happened and a life was lost because of it, brash decisions causing many to suffer. No it's not justified what he caused, but I can say that he has regretted it ever since and has continuously tried to become a better man since then. People make mistakes and he is definitely paying for his, but mistakes don't define who we are and that mistake of Lalo's definitely doesn't define his character. If you know him, you know that yeah he is stubborn and wants things his way, but deep down inside you know he is an amazing person with a heart of gold. Who ever is lucky enough to walk into his path and know him can guarantee you he is a man to respect and cherish. Believe it or not you might not recognize him if you spoke with him today. His wisdom has surpassed those of his age and even older. His intentions are to come home and make a life for his daughter and himself and just to have peace in his life. Please help to get this little girl's dad home. He is man with so much potential that deserves a chance to start living. Living in a cell is not living, thankfully he hasn't fallen through the cracks of such a horrendous justice system that Texas has. Men that go in there don't usually come out any better than how they went into it. Lalo is different, he's learned to be guided in there with faith and patience. He is a man of God and seeks to be selfless and kind hearted. A parole lawyer is what we need, the cost is high and we ask to please help with what ever you can. Doesn't have to be much, but between many we can accomplish so much. "Individually we are one drop, together we are an ocean." We have found a parole attorney that has a reputation as one of the best in the state that has years of experience. He has already accepted to take on Lalo's case and is already wanting to go above and beyond to win! We can't go with just any mediocre attorney because Lalo's case is very difficult since it is a intoxicated manslaughter with vehicle case, if we don't have the best there's slim chances he'll get out for his first parole. This case is already going to be difficult as it is because the parole board members have to choose between thousands of inmates to release or to keep within those walls. It's up to loved ones, the attorney, and Lalo to convince them that he is a man worth being out in the real world. It's going to be a tough mission, but not impossible. I want to raise as much as possible to help with any costs, mostly pertaining the attorney. The total cost we are looking at is $14,000 roughly to pay the attorney. The sooner this can be raised the better. This parole packet we have to form takes a long time to be made that will include evidence supporting his likelihood to succeed outside in the world, letters of support from family members and friends, and a good argument on to why he deserves early release. This takes months and months of preparation to gather evidence, old files, psychological testing, attorney's argument and letters. All to make a packet so the attorney can present it to the parole board members... please I ask, let's help him! If you are interested in writing a letter of support, contact me @ [email protected] or even just to write him to see how he is. I can give you an outline on exactly how to write it..He needs to be home so he can have a role in his daughter's life which he adores very much and needs to help her grow and not just watch her grow. Also for him to be back to his family before any more years keep passing. Let's help this selfless veteran that has at one point risked his life for his fellow Buka brothers in Afghanistan and has risked his life for all of us. Thank you for reading this and would appreciate your support immensely.

A letter written from Lalo for all of you...
Every day that passes me by. Day after day as I sit in this place I am constantly reminded of how BLESSED I once was!
Today lonely and cold in the depths of darkness- though I don't speak of the weather, but instead metaphorically. I am put away behind these thick walls of red brick and metal cages that surrounded me, like an animal.
Bitterness, resentment, remorse, pride, you name it it's there. Like fog which consumes you, it's devoured my mind and all that was around me as I became blind in a blink of an eye...
BLESSED(smirk)...what a word! As I sit here on this cement floor writing what's on my heart and mind I am without a doubt blessed by the lord! Blessed in a way many will never comprehend...
Blinded by the fog I sat scared, hungry, and alone. I was consumed-blinded in the depths of darkness where no one remembers you... there I saw a speck of light. Light that cuts through the thick and heavy fog which had consumed me like a sword. Blinded at one point...I was able to see now.
I say blessed, as my eyes were opened to all the small and big things in life which I could not see back then. Many will never understand what I speak of and it's okay. You are not there yet in life. Your level of understanding is not where mines at.
Though I am no longer blind and can see now by the light, I feel numb as if I were paralyzed! Though I am not able to walk and moved forward with my life at the moment, I still have HOPE! I thought I was good at one point with no hope, but then I felt the touch of LOVE...
The touch of love as I felt the cold glass window which my loved ones put their hand up against- or at times as I was able to feel the warmth of their body as I wrapped my arms around them and told them I loved them.
I felt the touch of love knowing I do make a difference in people's lives and that some people do want me to come home! I have come to realization that life is bigger than just myself. That's it's not about me anymore. But about everyone else whom I can save from stepping on the same land mines I've stepped on in life.
It's a matter of time before I'm able to walk once again. No longer will the blind be leading the blind, I just hope it's sooner than later that I can rejoin my loved ones. Especially my daughter which I have to admit I once was blind and took for granted...
All I ask is for the opportunity to REDEEEM myself! I have people to love and be there for to guide them through this cruel world we live in now a days. To show them what I have learned- that regardless of our situations at times that we are still BLESSED greatly by the LORD!
