Help Kyla from PH beat Intestinal Obstruction

Kyla Angela Frilles, the youngest of two children, used to be a bubbly and energetic 2-year-old child. Her battle started 1 month ago when she began experiencing fever, vomiting, and diarrhea occurring at irregular intervals. She was initially diagnosed as a case of Pneumonia and was treated with antibiotics but with no improvement.

Starting from October 13, her vomiting and diarrhea became more frequent, occurring almost daily and greatly affecting her appetite and causing weight loss. She was rushed to the emergency room last November 9 because of the inability to eat for several days with vomiting of green to yellowish fluid.

Kyla had to undergo multiple blood tests and imaging studies (abdominal ultrasound and Xrays) that eventually revealed she had an Intestinal Obstruction due to a Colonic Web. A colonic web is a rare congenital anomaly usually detected during childhood. This may cause obstruction of the intestines, preventing the normal flow of food, eventually affecting the person’s bowel movements and ability to eat.

Kyla is in urgent need of surgery - an Exploratory Laparotomy with Frozen Section - to address the intestinal obstruction (the doctors will open her abdomen to examine her intestines and perform corrective surgery as needed ). She will need IV antibiotics and repeated imaging studies such as ultrasounds and X-rays. Kyla is relying on IV fluids as her source of nutrition at the moment and is fast losing weight.

Please help Kyla get the surgery she urgently needs so that she can get back to being a normal, healthy kid again. Any amount that you can give will help her survive this ordeal and give her a better chance at recovery. Your prayers will be also greatly appreciated.
