This little Shiba inu is Kooms, our baby, he is cheeky, friendly, smart and playful, we love him so much. I take him to the dog park on a regular basis to make sure he is well socialized.
Lately, he has a sudden change of behavior. He is suddenly unfriendly to all unfamiliar dogs. Especially puppies. Last weekend, he snapped and attacked a puppy. We feel really horrible. We love all dogs and we feel like it's our fault not to deal with his issue earlier. That's partly because I have recently lost my job and couldn't afford any expensive vet bills and dog behavioral class bills. Today, I took him to the vet and make sure/rule out his health is the reason he snapped. It turns out he is suffering from serious anxiety. He acted like just normal, friendly and loving in front of us and I don't even realize our puppy is anxious ever since we moved to a new place. Now, in order to help kooms to join his friends and see him play freely again, we will need to work with a dog trainer to get over his issue. One on one session is $300 per 3 session and who knows how long it would take to get his old self back.
Please help us, help kooms! Or he will have to spend his whole life without any friends or interactions with other dogs!
