Lorine -12 years, Alice - 10 years and Emmanuel 5 years are siblings who hail from Kakamega County in Kenya Their mother Carol is a single mother who is currently recuperating from a motorcycle accident that occurred a few months ago. The three children and their mother are supported by Bethel Ministries, Kenya, whose vision is to rescue and restore families experiencing sexual exploitation, extreme poverty, homelessness, hunger and other extreme circumstances.

Lorine Alice and Emmanuel had been living with their guardians back in the village, in the same home where their mother Carol was brought up after having been abandoned as a child. With support from Bethel Ministries Carol secured a job as a domestic worker in Nairobi city from where she was able to support her children back in the village.

However in March of this year - 2018 - her children were rendered homeless when their relatives threw them out in the middle of the night because their mother failed to send money back home to cover the children's expenses. Upon receiving the news that her children were homeless she immediately started out to rescue them, but was unfortunately hit by a motorcycle and hospitalised.

Lorine Alice and Emmanuel were picked up and accommodated by a good Samaritan for the night. In the days that followed, Bethel Ministries found the children and placed them in an orphanage to secure them as their mother was still in hospital.
Lorine, the eldest of the children is enrolled at the school in the orphanage, while the other two children - Alice and Emmanuel - were taken in by their father and step mother, who subjected them to thorough mistreatment.

In the meantime Carol their mother is recuperating from a single roomed house that was was rented for her by Bethel Ministries, Sadly Emmanuel the five year old boy was one day found beaten up and dumped by the roadside near his mother's house. He is now back at the orphanage where he and his siblings are attending school.

Bethel Ministries Kenya is supported by well wishers and owes the school at the orphanage USD 2000 for these three children and others whom they have rescued. With your support Bethel Ministries will be able to pay off this debt and continue to support Lorine, Emmanuel and Alice and other families caught up in in extremely vulnerable circumstances to meet their needs for food, shelter and education.
