Help Keep a Special Needs School Open

A truly unique and life-changing special needs school in the jungles of Thailand NEEDS YOUR HELP!!

The Australian fires have been devastating for many of our friends down under. Unfortunately, they've also indirectly affected those who rely on Australians, like the Thai Child Development Foundation. TCDF is a special needs school in Thailand supported by Aussie donors and has lost their most important supporter at a critical time.

Losses suffered by the donor in the fires have made it impossible for them to complete the last donation planned to help the school become self-funded through farming. This unexpected turn of events has left the entire organization and its precious differently-abled children in jeopardy.

We are urgently trying to raise USD8,000 to finish the project and keep the school doors open.

What will the money go towards? WATER.

Over the last year, with support of a number of donors and a lot of hard work, TCDF have cleared 15 acres of farmland and planted 5,000 crops to provide the school with their own source of revenue. All that's left to do is install an irrigation system, originally scheduled to be purchased and installed this January. Without this irrigation system, all crops and a year's worth of efforts will be lost to the fast-approaching dry season. With the irrigation system, however, lives and communities will forever be changed.

Unlike so many charities that rely on donations and live hand-to-mouth to stay afloat, this entrepreneurial endeavour will forever remove TCDF's reliance on charitable hand-outs and empower them to keep the lights on indefinitely.
