Help “Journey” Represent the Philippines in the 24th WCOPA

Aldren Jay Gesta (Journey Gesta) will be representing the Philippines in the 24th World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) on July-August 2020. He will be competing in the VOCALS category of the annual worldwide talent competition. Journey needs your financial support as he will be flying to Orange County, California to compete.

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I present to you The World Championships of Performing Arts or WCOPA. WCOPA is the only “World Talent Olympics.” Homegrown Filipino Talents are given the chance to participate in this global competition through Dancing, Singing, Modeling, Instrumentals, Acting, and Variety Arts. Approximately 60 countries come to compete at WCOPA. Held annually in Hollywood, U.S.A., WCOPA is not only a competition, but also a training ground and an avenue for opportunities for aspiring artists like me. With boot camps conducted by Hollywood industry professionals, and Go-Sees participated by scouts and agencies all over America, WCOPA has a lot more to offer.

Since the Philippines participated in 2005, we have been able to produce several World Champions, JED MADELA (solo vocalist) 2005, the 4^th Impact (group vocalist) and Jonalyn Viray (Solo vocalist) in 2006, Aria Clemente (solo vocalist) in 2007, Rhap Salazar (solo vocalist) in 2009, Marielle Mamaclay (solo vocalist) 2010, Iana Dela Torre (solo vocalist jr.), Beverly Caimen (solo vocalist) and Laarni Lozada (solo vocalist) in 2013, Lloyd Montebon (solo vocalist jr.) and Extreme Dancers (dance group) in 2014, Junior New System (dance group) in 2016, Nhikzy Calma (solo dance jr.) and Cristiani Rebada (solo vocalist) in 2017 to name a few.

It is in this light that I would like to request for your kind financial assistance and support. This is for my registrations, airfare, US Visa processing and board and lodging in able for me to participate in the 24^th Annual World Championships of Performing Arts which will be held in Anaheim, California, U.S.A. from July 24 to August 2, 2019. In case I won’t be granted a US VISA or will not be able to participate in WCOPA 2020 for whatever reason, I promise to return whatever amount you will extend to me.
