My name is Josh Gounden, I have been playing football from as early as I can remember. I have played for all KZN provincial teams from under 11 until under 19. At age 14 i was scouted by professional South African team Golden Arrows of whom I went to captain from that age until their senior reserve team.
At 18 years old I was approached by Amazulu and given a scholarship to study as well as play for their reserve team. All was going well and I was on my way to playing for the under 20 South African national team as well as entering the first team at Amazulu until I sustained a ankle injury which required me to have surgery.
This really hit me hard mentally but I refused to give up on the dream. Until then I have been working extremely hard to get back into peak fitness and I did so in a few months. I feel physically fitter then ever however I have had trouble finding trials in South Africa as the injury followed me where ever I went. I thought all hope was lost and my life purpose was lost until now.
I have been scouted by the University Of Arkansas to study and play football in the USA! I am extremely excited and so grateful for the chance I have been given. They have offered me a part scholarship which helps a lot but I need help to raise 2500 dollars. The coach has informed me that through college football I can get trials to a MLS team which is what my dream and intentions are.
I would appreciate your support in raising 2500 dollars which equates to 35000 Rand. I would be so grateful for you support in any way as I feel this is my last chance at making my dream become reality and becoming a professional footballer. Thank you guys so much.
Peace and Love
Josh
