My mom has Endometrial Cancer Stage IV-B, and Pneumonia, a complication brought on by her disease. For this reason, we need funds for her immediate treatment.

---

My mom was an overseas Filipino worker for more than 15 years. She had worked far from home for more than a decade, even before my Papa died, because she had to support our family. I have two siblings.

In 2018, she was sent back home by her employers because a lump was observed in her ovaries, and her feet started to swell. After a series of laboratory tests, she had hysterectomy (an operation to remove the uterus) and her biopsy results showed that she had Endometrial Cancer Stage III-C.

In 2019, she underwent and completed six sessions of chemotherapy and a 30-day radiotherapy last year at Jecsons Medical Center and Central Luzon Doctor’s Hospital (CLDH). Most times, she’d need blood transfusion first before her treatment.

We hardly survived through the financial help of our relatives and friends and had to reach out to government financial and medical assistance to get through with the bills.

However, after these treatments, she still has cancer. Her disease might have worsened because some of her chemo sessions were off schedule due to lack of funds.

The next sessions of chemotherapy, recommended by her doctor, were more expensive than the last six sessions, which is why we were not able to continue her medication. (PHP 50,000/month)

Thus, in the last quarter of 2020, due to financial difficulties, we transferred to the Cancer Institute of Philippine General Hospital (PGH) to carry on with her medication. We would line-up very early at the hospital and had to go back multiple times for checkups. My siblings and I took turns in accompanying her, as well as our immediate relatives. Fortunately, by the end of January, she had chemo again. However, her chemo-medicines were not available at PGH, so we still had to buy them from the medicine supplier of the PCSO.

Two weeks after her chemotherapy, she was admitted to a hospital in the province again because of body weakness and breathing difficulty. She went through another blood transfusion and stayed in the hospital for four days.

Recently, she’s been diagnosed with Pneumonia and needs to be treated as soon as possible to prevent further complications. She can’t stand or walk on her own anymore and needs assistance when she lies down.

I am alive because of my mom, and I love her so much.

Please help us raise funds for the treatment of her Pneumonia, and her succeeding chemotherapy sessions.

Thank you.
