HELP JOSEPH BASE

This campaign is to help Joseph Base and his family meet his medical needs.

Joseph Base, was working in Saudi Arabia when he was admitted to the hospital due to shortness of breath and paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnea (refers to attacks of severe shortness of breath and coughing that generally occur at night). He had multiple clinical problem prior to his admission ( diabetes, hypertension,chronic kidney disease and dyslipidemia to name a few). He was later on transferred to ICU after a sudden cardiac arrest. He was put in a mechanical ventilation with Glasgow coma score 3/15. He has been unconscious for 2 months after his arrest and later on diagnosed with brain encephalopathy.

After his condition has been stabilized, the patient was transferred back to Philippines.

Joseph is now being cared at home. He is in a vegetative state--awake but unaware; with tracheostomy tube, oxgen support and gastrostomy tube for feeding. His vitals are stable but he has been bedridden for almost four years and up to now his condition has not improved. He needs daily medicines and expensive therapies that are very hard to afford by his family.
