Dear friends, please support The Jose Lopez Foundation's attempt to preserve the continuity of lives already endangered by the amazonian fires threatening to extinct over 3 million species.
A little bit of context
It's believed that about three million different species of plants and animals - one in 10 of all the species in the world - live in the Amazon. This has been the worst year for Amazon fires since 2010. So what does this mean for the many animals who call the Amazon home?
But there’s a problem
Some animals may be able to escape. Large mammals, such as jaguars, stand the best chance of getting away because they are able to run fast enough to get away from the fire in time. But many other animals will be killed almost immediately. Dr Claudio Sillero, professor of conservation biology at the University of Oxford, says he's particularly concerned about the smaller creatures in the forest and so are we. They don't stand a chance. We really need to worry about amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates. They live in micro-habitats, and if these micro-habitats get hit by fire then they will disappear completely, and these animals will die. Many species may go extinct if nothing is done about preserving them. For those that survive the fire, they can't go elsewhere because those areas are occupied, and they'd be waiting around for a new territory to open up, which may never happen but one thing is certain: they can't re-use their old areas that have been burned. One last detail, the plants are not left out in all these.
Here’s what we’re doing about it
At The Jose Lopez Foundation, we are so passionate about life in all forms, plant and animal, and are prepared to help the Amazon climes survive this nightmare. We intend to send teams of scientists, conservationists and environmental biologists into the Amazon to help rescue as many life forms as possible and transport them to conservation centers around the world for re-integration into normal, healthy habitats.
This is to ensure that the threat of extinction facing most of these plants and animals is reduced to the barest minimum, hence protecting our ecosystem thereby making sure that someday, they will repopulate the world. Earth has lost too much because of man's activities already, it's time we rebuilt our planet or we might not have any planet to leave behind for our children yet unborn.
You can join us
Join us on this quest to save our planet by donating towards our cause. The task at hand is so huge and we don't have the financial capability to do it alone. We require 200,000 euros in support. The money is to enable our teams carry out their work on ground at the amazon, identify endangered species, retrieve them and transport them to various conservation centers around the globe. No amount is too great to give in order to save our animals. They love us, why shouldn't we love them in return?
And here’s some amazing perks for supporting us that you can’t live without
By supporting us, you get to be part of something bigger than yourself because these plants and animals deserve to continue living and procreating.
You also get the satisfaction of knowing that your token is saving something that can never repay you back.
You get to do your part in helping to make the world a better place by ensuring that the ecosystem, though imperfect now, stays hopeful that someday, it will be.
You get the satisfaction of knowing that so many species did not go extinct on your watch.
This is a very hearty project for us. We look forward to your support, Please help!!! Thank you.
