Help Jorgerette Walk Again ❤

Jorgerette is a single mother of two, who works as a medical staff in a government hospital. For two difficult years, she has been battling Lupus, a rare autoimmune disease in which her body’s immune system becomes hyperactive and attacks normal, healthy tissue.

2017 has been an emotional roller coaster ride for Jorgerette. Last February, her sister, Jill, was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer and Lupus. 2 months later, Jorgerette was blessed with her second child. While pregnant, she helped her family in covering the staggering costs of Jill’s treatments, eventually depleting their resources. Unfortunately, Jill succumbed to cancer last July.

Excessive stress due to recent events took a toll on Joregerette's health causing her Lupus to flare up. She gave birth prematurely last October. Then, a month later, a seemingly harmless wound from an insect bite on her leg, rapidly progressed to a severe, multiple drug resistant infection affecting her bones. Subsequently, she required a life-saving amputation of her right leg.

She has been staying in the hospital for a month now, where she will continue therapy until she gets home. The next step from here is an intense couple of weeks of follow-up consults for further treatment and rehabilitation.

After years of helping others, Joregerette now needs our help. Even if she has the unconditional love and support from her family and friends, she still has a very long road ahead of her. Whether it’s praying for her, or helping offset costs associated with her condition, anything you can contribute will be so helpful to the family.
