Hi! I'm Joee and most recently, I got word that I was accepted to go on exchange at the University of Montreal in Canada through my university's exchange program!
I'm stoked to be part of such an amazing and value-adding program, but I know that with this opportunity comes a lot of responsibility. I am so relieved that even after just a short 1.5 years stay in UP, I've come to know people and different advocacies in being part of the UP junior Finance Association, UP Career Assistance Program, and the college student council. Through this exchange, I hope, not only to have fun, but most of all to expand learning beyond the usual four walls I've known my whole life.
Through UP Diliman's partnership with hundreds of other universities all over the world, I'm relieved to say that the tuition for the semester I plan to study abroad will be waived. Although this is one thing off my shoulders (and my parents'!), there's still living expenses and other costs to worry about. Although tuition is waived, I'll be needing money for the roundtrip flight from Manila to Montreal and back, monthly accommodation expense, and even just a bit of pocket money to get around when I do get there.
The winter semester starts on the first week of September up until the third week of December this 2020. In preparation, I'm pretty sure I'll be there by late August to get a feel of things.
The goal set for this page is just part of the projected expenses I've come up with, since I have other revenue streams into play as well. For the next few months, I've decided to put up multiple kinds of fundraisers including this page. Please feel free to check out the links below if you want to support my other fundraiser:
All your help will surely go a long way in sending me above and beyond! I cannot fully express how grateful I am for any and all help you'll be able to give. Thank you so much <3
